| Downloading
a full length movie is easy if you are using a relatively new computer (not more than 2-3 years old)
with high speed internet access. Here are the answers to some common questions.
Most problems are easily solved, we're here to help. |
| |
| What
type of file (movie) will I be downloading and how will I play it? |
|
All of our downloadable movies
are in the Windows Media Player (.wmv) or Real Player (.rmv) formats. This easy and popular format allows
your movie to either stream or play the movie directly from your hard
drive. If you don't have or are unsure if you have Windows Media Player or the Real Media Player, then click here for the Windows Media Player, or click here for the Real Media Player. |
| What
are the system requirements? |
|
We recommend that you have
at least a Pentium II, 128MB RAM, 256 color Video Graphics Card, a sound
card with external speakers, and high speed internet access. You should
also have enough free space on your hard drive to store the files once
they are downloaded (approximately 300 Mb per movie). Most newer computers
meet these requirements. |
| How
do I watch the movie? |
|
Once you have purchased the
movie, you will instantly be directed to the video download login page. This page requires a password in order to proceed to the download. You will instantly see the password required to access the page. Our system also emails you with the required password. Be sure to check your spam box. Please note: we are not responsible for lost emails, or if our email was blocked by your SPAM filter or your ISP. |
| How
many times can I watch the movie? |
| |
Once you purchase the video, you can view it as many times as you like, provided that you saved the video to your hard drive. Each download purchase is automatically given a max number of downloads before the link expires. Currently, you are able to download the video a max of 3 times before your download link expires. The link will also automatically expire after 24 hours from the time of purchase. If you need more time, you will be required to contact us for assistance. Please note: if you lose the file due to anything except for problems caused by Lusa Corp., you will have to purchase the download again. |
| How
long does it take to download a movie? |
|
The time it takes you to download
a movie will depend on your interent connection, if you are using cable,
DSL, or any high speed connection, it should take about 10 - 20 minutes
to download one file (there are 2 files for most movies). |
| What
is streaming video? |
|
Streaming video means that
you watch the movie as it downloads to the temporary internet folder,
so you can't fast forward past the point that is has downloaded to. Since
you are watching the movie as it downloads, you may experience freezing
or skipping. This is normal when video is streaming, once the file has
completely downloaded, it will play properly. We recommend that you save
the file and then watch it. Also, If you are using Microsoft Internet
Explorer V5.5, SP2 or 6.0, you may need to download the free Active X
controller here to view streaming Quicktime movies. |
| How
do I save a file to my hard drive? |
|
In Microsoft Internet Explorer,
simply right click on the link to the movie and select 'Save Target As...'
In Netscape, right click on the link to the movie and select 'Save Link
Target As...' Be sure and note where you save the file (movie) and what
it is called as when you are ready to play it you will need to go there
to open or begin the movie. |
| I
have dial-up internet access, can I download movies? |
|
We do not recommend that dial-up
users try to download full length movies. It will take a very long time
to download the files, and you will probably run into problems while downloading.
|
| The
movie stops in the middle. |
|
You may not have downloaded
the entire file. Each movie file is about 200 - 300 Mb. If the file size
doesn't seem right you may want to download the file again. |
